About Me
Hey y’all, I’m Keri. Thank you for joining me on this journey. My last name is Howard (my maiden name), but please don’t be confused by my social media accounts where my name is Keri Piller. Turns out only changing your last name on your drivers license doesn’t legally change your name.
I am in my early 30s and live in Calgary, Alberta. I was born and raised in Asheville, NC and got a degree at the University of Georgia. There is no doubt that I bleed red and black… GO DAWGS! At 24 years old, I moved to Vancouver, British Columbia and started learning about the beautiful country I now call home. After living there for three years, I moved to Calgary where I plan to settle down. I guess that’s what you do when ya buy and house and start makin babies, right?
I am lucky enough to be married to my best friend and the best person I know, Keenan. I met Keenan at UGA at the young age of 19. We hit it off at a Jersey Shore themed party (yes, you read that correctly) and have been each others person ever since. We have built a lovely life together and now have a beautiful daughter named Andee Lynn who was born in August of 2020.
I am a math teacher and although that is my career title, I work at an amazingly unique school where I also get to teach my hobbies and interests – cheerleading, weaving, macramé, embroidery, yearbook, etc. I am fortunate enough to teach grades 1-12 and absolutely love working with all ages every day.
My hobbies consist of, well… everything, and no, I am actually not joking. I am one of those people that loves to dabble with a bit of it all. My main hobbies currently involve fiber arts, working out, reading and sports. Oh, and all things mom! But don’t be shocked if you randomly see me have an extreme interest in make up or power tools. You might say I love learning a new skill, hence why I have started this blog.
