Yo, yo, yo! What’s up my homies! How ya been? We’re back with another On the Menu Monday and some super fun recipes to try.Weekly Meal Plan Menu (15)
This past week we ordered from Skip the Dishes and got burritos from barBURRITO. This is by far the best Mexican food I’ve had since living in Calgary. The reason why I bring this up is because 1) it means the chicken and roasted veggies we had planned for last week are now on this week’s menu and 2) I miss the Mexican food you can get in the states (and Chick-fil-a… duh!).
I have been brainstorming more ideas for Andee and found a tropical fish recipe in *It All Begins with Food that will also be delicious for me and Keenan. While I will serve Andee just the fish mixture, Keenan and I will add some Mexican slaw and hot sauce and throw it on a tortilla. I have never made the slaw recipe (linked above), but I am excited to see how it turns out.
We are also making chicken nuggets and roasted cauliflower following recipes from *It All Beings with Food. We’ve made the chicken nuggets before, and Mm! They are quite tasty. We had **hibachi chicken last week, but it’s so yummy that we decided to make it again this week. And ya can’t forget that yum yum sauce, yo!
And lastly, you will notice we have our typical pizza and salad. But do not be fooled… we have decided to make homemade pizzas this week. We get our pizza dough from Cobs Bread and and will add lots of different toppings. I don’t know what the toppings are yet because I had a total brain fart when at the grocery store this weekend. So I literally only bought mozzarella cheese and nothing else. Like no sauce or anything… just cheese. Lol! So Keenan will have to run to the store later this week ooooorrr help me make a list of items before I go. But so far I am thinking tomatoes, green peppers, garlic, artichoke hearts and maybe some spinach.
